During the project "My Year in Sheep" (Aug. 2019 - Aug 2020), I created and shared a sheep comic on Instagram every day for a whole year. I used this opportunity to grow as an artist, tell my story, and process emotions during a difficult time in my life. It was during this time that I moved to New York City after quitting my job as a middle school teacher in Texas, coped with personal and family illness, and was diagnosed with autism in the midst of a global pandemic. My Year in Sheep tells the story of a young woman finding herself during a time of global and personal upheaval.
